Four interesting chromolithographs by the artist Giuseppe Falchetti.
This artist was born in Caluso (Turin) in June 1843 from a modest artisan family.
His pictorial background is enriched both by the teachings of the master Giuseppe Camino and by his assiduous visits to the Savoy Gallery where he showed a lively interest in still life.
After a life dedicated to art with numerous commissions and awards, the artist died on November 6, 1918.
Two of the four works for sale are still lifes, one depicts a hunting booty and one a fishing booty.
All the works have the signature of the author.
Three are numbered (all except the one depicting the fish) the numbers are 289 290 and 291.
Three have a mark that we have not been able to identify, bearing the letter ''T'' (all except the one depicting hunting booty).
The chromolithographs are framed and the frames have been handcrafted and painted in white, deliberately leaving some defects.
One of the two still lifes has a tear in correspondence of a flower (see photo).
The work depicting hunting booty has blue brushstrokes that look like wrong twists (see photos) and in the other part there are two small tears.
Dimensions: frame 56 x 89 cm.
