The purpose for which it was originally made, we do not know. Also on the age one can only speculate. The longer they are viewed, the more one sees this as a reflection of the ''Memphis'' era. But the careful and elaborate design suggests that the table set was probably made earlier. All elements of the set showed strong signs of wear and discoloration to some extent. A professional restorer has carefully removed the old paint, sanded the wood, re-stained it and then painted it. Therefore, the set is in a perfect condition, without signs of wear. The set has been completely made of solid wood and consists of a table and four stools. Table diameter 114cm. See less
