The trompe l'oeil effect of the printed floral backdrop harmonises with the translucent female nude and abundance of freshly cut flowers that appear to grow out of her face.

The smoothness of Flora's porcelain skin creates an eloquent and expressive contrast of color and texture. The slender and curvaceous form of her nude body complements the curvaceous forms of the flowers that litter the backdrop.

Photography duo Tortora & Travezan create vibrant portraits that combine nude and still life. David Tortora and Jaime Travezan met in London in 2006, where both were pursuing creative careers.

Following their first collaboration on fashion editorials and portraiture, they soon presented their first fine art photography project, "Galatea".
