"Veduta della baia di Napoli" ("View of the Bay of Naples") is a spectacular oil on canvas that pays homage to the homonymous painting by the French master Claude Joseph Vernet currently exhibited at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Pellegrini succeeds with great skill in reproducing the Naples of Vernet in the mid-1700s, keeping faith with the colors, the expressiveness of the subjects, the scenes of everyday life and the taste for antiquity which find a new lifeblood in this homage.
To enhance the masterful work of Pellegrini, a frame in gilded pine wood with patinated gold leaf that takes up the decorative theme of the originals.
