Original Etching and Aquatint on copper plate printed in 3 colors on Fabriano paper. Hand-signed on the lower right margin in pencil: George Segal. Numbered on the lower left corner: 42/54. Edition of 54 plus XIV artist proofs. Printed by 2RC. Mint conditions. Image Dimensions: 59.5 x 0.1 x 49 cm. George Segal (November 26, 1924 – June 9, 2000) was an American painter and sculptor associated with the Pop Art movement. He was presented with the United States National Medal of Arts in 1999. Segal's figures have minimal color and detail, which give them a ghostly, melancholic appearance. In larger works, one or more figures are placed in anonymous, typically urban environments such as a street corner, bus, or diner.
