Inside Berlin is original black China ink drawing on ivory-colored paper, made by the Swedish illustrator and reporter Adolf Reinhold Hallman around 1955 ca. Hand-signed on the rear. On the back green ink stamp "Made in U.S.A". Titled on the lower left. The state of preservation is good and aged except for some diffused foxing. Adolf Hallman (1893 – 1968) was a Swedish illustrator who sensibly contributed to Swedish, Danish and Norwegian newspapers and magazines, including Tidens Tegn, Dagbladet, Exlex and Politiken. Among his books is På Boulevard Europa. He illustrated editions of Charles Baudelaire's Fleurs du Mal and Guy de Maupassant's Boule de Suif. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
