Hand-signed on the rear. On the back green ink stamp "Made in U.S.A". Titled on the lower left. The state of preservation is good and aged except for some diffused foxing. Adolf Hallman (1893 – 1968) was a Swedish illustrator who sensibly contributed to Swedish, Danish and Norwegian newspapers and magazines, including Tidens Tegn, Dagbladet, Exlex and Politiken. Among his books is På Boulevard Europa. He illustrated editions of Charles Baudelaire's Fleurs du Mal and Guy de Maupassant's Boule de Suif. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
