An iconic example of French space-age design, the Karate chair combines a white fiberglass shell with generously padded upholstery, creating a unique and exceptionally comfortable seating experience. The chair features its characteristic rounded silhouette, with a high backrest and integrated armrests that embrace the sitter. The original white shell contrasts beautifully with the newly upholstered interior in rich olive-green leather. The chair has been completely reupholstered in high-quality leather, retaining the characteristic deep button tufting that defines the original design. The generous cushioning and enveloping shape provide exceptional seating comfort. The chair rests on its original circular swivel base, allowing it to rotate freely. Its appearance makes it a beautiful statement piece for both contemporary and vintage interiors. The chair is in very good vintage condition. The leather upholstery is completely new, while the original white fiberglass shell shows minor signs of age and use consistent with its vintage character.
