A stag stands among flowering trees beneath a moonlit sky, the pale etched decoration appearing luminous against the glass’s warm honey-amber ground. The unusually rare amber tone is a special feature of this example; these sconces are more often seen in clear glass. Its finely finished, ground glass edges add a jewel-like quality, catching the light and giving the shade a crisp, sculptural outline. Two softly patinated brass screws provide an elegant finishing touch. The original iron support is easy to customize: it may be painted to match the wall, allowing the glowing glass shade to appear almost to float against the surface. The lamp retains its original two-wire e14 socket. An e14-to-e12 reducer is included for the us market; replacing the socket is also straightforward if preferred. The glass is intact, with no chips or cracks.
