Natta, 21 rue du metz, lille — as attested by the original brass maker's plate fixed to the pressing arm.

the press rests on a four-footed cast iron base fitted with a peripheral juice-drainage channel. The cylindrical pressing vessel is formed of two interlocking sections housing a removable perforated inner basket for filtration. The pressing mechanism operates via a central threaded screw driven by a t-bar handle, guided by an ornamental cast iron arch. Every element speaks to the robust yet considered engineering of 19th century industrial production.

it will integrate beautifully into an industrial-style interior, a converted loft, a farmhouse kitchen or a wine cellar, whether displayed as a sculptural object or used as a dramatic side table base. Its presence and provenance make it equally compelling in a heritage restaurant or artisan shop setting.

it also can be used in a garden or a patio as a jardiniere or a planter.

honestly described: the piece presents a rich, even rust patina throughout, with traces of original green paint still visible on the vessel — evidence of intensive use. Very gond condition for its age. Traces of wear are entirely consistent with its age and working life, and contribute to its authentic character.
