The … Read more A round wall sconce made of stoneware by the Danish studio Løvemose Keramik, based on the island of Langeland. The lamp’s design consists of overlapping ceramic circles of varying diameters and textures, creating a distinctly three-dimensional, relief-like structure. A central, convex disc with a regular pattern of small holes is surrounded by a ring of radially arranged notches. Beyond that lies a decorative zone with an irregular, contrasting glaze pattern, bordered by a wide, grooved rim.

The surface combines the raw, grainy texture of dark clay with partially glazed sections in shades of brown, ochre, creamy white, black, and deep red. The glaze forms irregular, radially spreading motifs resembling flames or stylized petals. The contrast between the matte ceramic and the glossy, richly colored sections lends the surface depth and highlights its handcrafted character.

The multi-layered construction and the perforated central element give the fixture a sculptural form. When lit, the light highlights the relief structure and shines through the openings in the central section, creating a decorative lighting effect.
