T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, Widdicomb, American Mid-Century Modern, Wedge Coffee Table, Walnut, USA, 1960s
An American Mid-Century Modern wedge-shaped coffee table designed by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings (1905–1976) for Widdicomb Furniture, USA, circa 1960s. This example features a distinctive triangular wedge-shaped top with softly rounded corners and beautifully book-matched walnut veneers, supported by three tapered cylindrical dowel legs joined by angular wood stretchers. The sculptural geometric form, refined proportions, and warm walnut finish exemplify Robsjohn-Gibbings' understated modernist aesthetic. Retains the original Widdicomb paper manufacturer's label on the underside.
