Dated on the lower margin. The original plate is mounted on a cardboard passepartout. Jan Peeter Verdussen or Jan Pieter Verdusse (Antwerp 1700 - Avigno 1763) was a Flemish painter, draftsman and printmaker. He is known mainly for his battle scenes, incidents of camp life and equestrian paintings. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
