A classic Blue Willow mug in deep cobalt transferware. The full Willow pattern wraps the outside: pagoda, willow trees, the bridge with three figures, the boat, and the two lovebirds, under a lattice border. A second pagoda scene is printed just inside the rim, so you see it with every sip. The handle has its own scrolled motif.
It’s heavy and sturdy, with the weight of classic restaurant ware. Use it for your morning coffee, for holding pens or makeup brushes, or grouped with other blue and white on an open shelf. A charming accent for English Traditional, chinoiserie, and grandmillennial interiors.
