Made circa 1900, the butcher’s block sits on a more recent base with an aged painted finish that wonderfully complements the visible age of the cutting surface. The top shows incredible signs of use and heavy wear over time with a surface covered in nicks and scores from blades that lend tons of character to this unique piece. The base’s apron houses a single drawer, which opens smoothly with a cupped metal pull, useful for storing knives and other kitchen utensils. Standing on solid square feet, this butcher block is the perfect accent to add to your kitchen with its timeless practicality. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
