The top, with rounded corners, is made from 5 oak planks whose woodgrain combines with the rich patina to create a nicely varied surface. Visible across the tabletop are the wooden dowels carefully fitted into the joinery, which not only inform us of the table’s construction but attest to the skills of the craftsmen who made it. More of these dowels are found in the scalloped apron where it meets the table’s 4 turned oak legs, which sit atop rounded feet. An H-form stretcher runs between the legs to lend further stability to this sturdy piece. With its fine craftsmanship and timeless design, this would be the perfect coffee table in seating arrangements across a range of decorating styles. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for use in your interiors. We believe this to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
