Each petal is contoured with delicate moulded ridges running outward toward a gently scalloped rim. At the centre of the corolla, a domed ribbed boss sits encircled by raised stamens, each accented with a small bead of glossy black enamel that stands out sharply against the satin-finished crystal. Stand not included, for display only. The reverse of the bloom narrows into an integral, solid clear glass stem extending backward at a low angle. This heavy stem functions as a practical resting point, allowing the flower head to tilt gracefully upward when placed on a desk, dressing table, or cabinet shelf. The contrasting polished clear glass of the stem and the frosted face work together to refract and diffuse passing light. Originating from the Lalique glassworks in France, this 'Anémone' design carries the factory reference number 1161400. Unlike pre-1945 pressed glass pieces bearing the moulded 'R. Lalique' mark, this mid- to late 20th-century crystal example features the fine script acid-etched mark 'Lalique ® France' inscribed directly along the side of the clear stem. In practical terms, the piece functions as a decorative tabletop ornament or a substantial paperweight. In terms of size, it measures approximately 3 inches in height by 4 1/4 inches in width (7.6 cm by 10.8 cm) with an approximate weight of 8 ounces (227 grams), giving it good stability on flat surfaces. The piece remains in clean condition throughout, showing no chips, nibbles, cracks, or visible cloudiness to the crystal, and the black enamel detailing on the central stamens remains intact and well defined.
