Where can the police be? is an original etchingrealized by George Cruikshank. Hand-watercolored and on ivory paper. Image Dimensions: 14.5 x 9 cm Good conditions. Titled on the bottom center. Signed on the lower left margin. George Cruikshank (1792 - 1878) was a British illustrator. He was called the modern ''Hogarth'' by his contemporaries. His illustrations of him for the novels of Charles Dickens and many other authors, earned him great fame during the time he lived. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
