Combining the extraordinary beauty of richly figured rosewood with a sleek chrome-plated steel base, this table captures the refined elegance of American modernism. Its striking blend of natural artistry and modern design makes it especially desirable.

The magnificent oval tabletop is undoubtedly the centerpiece, displaying dramatic, bookmatched Brazilian rosewood grain with intricate swirling patterns, deep chocolate figuring, and warm reddish-brown tones. Professionally refinished to restore its original beauty, the surface reveals the remarkable depth and character that have made Brazilian rosewood one of the most coveted hardwoods in mid-century furniture. A contrasting dark edge beautifully defines the elongated silhouette, while the polished chrome-plated steel pedestal extends into a sculptural four-star base, creating a sense of lightness beneath the richly figured top.

The design reflects the modernist principles championed by Florence Knoll, whose influence helped redefine American furniture through simplicity, precision, and an appreciation for exceptional materials. Equally suited as a dining table, executive desk, or conference table, its versatility adds to its enduring appeal. More than a functional piece of furniture, this table celebrates the natural beauty of Brazilian rosewood, offering a distinctive combination of craftsmanship, sophistication, and design that remains highly sought after today.
