It features an exquisitely crafted base with an architectural design, consisting of turned, baluster-style legs and a distinctive X-shaped stretcher, centered with an ornamental turned element.

The tabletop—which displays a rich patina and a subtly irregular form—is likely a later addition, lending the piece a bold, sculptural quality. The solid, period-authentic base highlights the elegant proportions of the table as a whole.

It would fit perfectly into both a refined, traditional interior and an eclectic, contemporary setting.

England, c. 1870–1890.
