The all-over design has no center, which makes furniture placement easy. This chic modern 9x12 area rug comes in rust and tan.

This one-of-a-kind, handmade wool rug is hand knotted from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool, and colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. The dyes give the pile an abrash, a gentle shift in shade within a single color. It happens because hand-spun wool takes natural dye a little differently from batch to batch, and it is one of the signs of a true handmade rug. The pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a soft, comfortable feel underfoot.

Use it as a large living room rug, under a dining table that seats eight, or in a great room. The warm rust and tan palette, with a touch of light gold, brings a boho chic, eclectic feel to a room and pairs well with leather, walnut, and brass. The leafy pattern suits transitional and cottage-style rooms.
