The all-over design has no center, which makes furniture placement easy. This eclectic modern 9x12 area rug comes in tan and brown.

This handmade wool rug is one of a kind, hand knotted from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool and colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. Those dyes create an abrash, a soft shift in shade within a single color. Hand-spun wool takes natural dye a little differently from batch to batch, so the variation is normal and is one of the signs of a true handmade rug. After knotting, the pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a comfortable feel underfoot.

Use it as a large living room rug, under a dining table that seats eight, or in a great room. In tan and brown, with touches of green and rust, this rug suits warm minimalist, modern organic, and coastal interiors, and it sits easily beside light wood and linen. The flowers soften clean-lined, modern furniture.
