This one-of-a-kind, handmade wool rug is hand knotted from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool, and colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. The dyes give the pile an abrash, a gentle shift in shade within a single color. It happens because hand-spun wool takes natural dye a little differently from batch to batch, and it is one of the signs of a true handmade rug. The pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a soft, comfortable feel underfoot.

It holds a full living room seating group, a dining table for six to eight, or a spacious primary bedroom.
