This modern 9x12 area rug comes in beige and brown.

This one-of-a-kind, handmade wool rug is hand knotted from a blend of hand-spun local wool and fine merino wool, and colored with natural vegetable dyes extracted from local plants. The dyes give the pile an abrash, a gentle shift in shade within a single color. It happens because hand-spun wool takes natural dye a little differently from batch to batch, and it is one of the signs of a true handmade rug. The pile is trimmed to a moderate thickness, then stone-washed and sun-dried for a natural sheen and a soft, comfortable feel underfoot.

It holds a full living room seating group, a dining table for six to eight, or a spacious primary bedroom. In beige and brown, with touches of green and tan, this rug suits warm minimalist, modern organic, and coastal interiors, and it sits easily beside light wood and linen. Its ordered geometry pairs well with clean-lined, tailored pieces.
