The pattern is tone-on-tone, so the rug reads as one color from across the room and shows its detail up close. This 8x10 overdyed area rug comes in teal and red.

Hand-knotted in all-natural dyed, hand-spun wool, this rug is one of a kind. The rug was then sun-faded for three to six months, so the sun's energy could organically soften its original colors. Once neutralized, it was overdyed in teal and washed, revealing deep, vibrant hues that make each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. The dye takes differently on each shade of the original design, which is why the pattern shows through tone-on-tone instead of disappearing. You may notice lighter and deeper areas of teal across the surface. That layered, uneven color is the signature of an overdyed rug, and together with the hand-tied knots, it gives the rug its own personality. The wool pile is dense and soft underfoot, and it stands up well to daily use in busy rooms.

It anchors a living room seating group, a bedroom, or a dining room. The saturated teal and red color gives a boho chic, eclectic, or maximalist room its focal point, and it brings energy to a neutral, modern space with white walls and simple furniture. See less
