Broad, shallow porcelain bowl from Rosenthal Studio-Line’s Century: New Wave series, produced in Germany in 1986. The form is attributed to Tapio Wirkkala, with graphic decoration by Dorothy Hafner. Sweeping lines, rhythmic dashes and geometric accents in pastel colours and black animate the white porcelain surface, while the glossy glaze highlights its gently flaring contours. The generous 30 cm diameter gives Hafner’s expressive composition a strong visual presence.
