Its geometric surface beautifully refracts light, creating a decorative glow on the surrounding walls. The lamp can be installed either as a wall sconce or a ceiling light, depending on the desired effect. It makes a statement in vintage, mid-century modern and eclectic interiors, particularly when paired with natural wood, brass accents and simple furniture. When illuminated, the intricate glass facets reveal their full depth, creating an attractive interplay of light and shadow.

The lamp is in very good vintage condition. There is a tiny chip on the edge of the glass shade. The brass disc on the front has been polished, and the electrical wiring has been replaced. The lamp is relatively heavy.

Lyfa was a Danish lighting manufacturer known for collaborating with distinguished designers and producing lighting characteristic of Scandinavian modernism. Orrefors is a renowned Swedish glassworks celebrated for its high-quality decorative glass and distinctive use of light. Carl Fagerlund was a Swedish lighting designer best known for his sculptural glass lighting designs for Orrefors, characterised by expressive forms and striking lighting effects.
