A charming pair of carved pineapple finials in cast stone, the classic emblem of hospitality, now softened by decades outdoors. Each pineapple is modeled with a diamond-patterned, overlapping scale texture and rises from a ruffled, gadrooned collar. Beneath it, a turned, urn-form stem sits on a stepped plinth with a square base, which makes the pair ideal for gate posts, pillars, and walls.
The surface carries the weathering that collectors prize: a rich, naturally acquired patina of gray-green lichen and moss over warm rose and terracotta tones, with the aged stone showing through in places. This is a surface that cannot be reproduced and instantly lends a garden the look of a long-established European estate.
Use them to crown entry piers or garden walls, flank a doorway, steps, or driveway entrance, or set them on a terrace balustrade, a potting bench, or a pair of pedestals. They also work indoors as bookends, mantel ornaments, or a console display. They suit English country, French Provincial, Tuscan, Mediterranean, Southern, and Georgian-style landscapes and interiors, and they are scaled to be placed almost anywhere.
