This exceptional oval piece captures the transitional elegance of the early 20th century, showcasing the bold, stylized aesthetics characteristic of the Art Deco movement. Hand-knotted from luxurious wool, it represents the finest examples of antique rugs produced during this period of global artistic fusion.

The design features a striking central Tree of Life motif, rendered in soft gold and coral tones, emerging from a stylized vase. This intricate pattern is set against a deep, almost black, navy ground, creating dramatic contrast. The use of saturated indigo and lighter cerulean hues throughout the border emphasizes the sophisticated palette often found in blue color rugs of this era.

Unusually shaped, the oval format of this rug adds a distinctive architectural element, softening the lines of a modern interior. The border is densely populated with large, stylized peony blossoms and scrolling foliage, executed in a palette of dusty rose and cream, framed by the dark field.

Given its compact dimensions and unique oval shape, this piece functions perfectly as an accent or small scatter size rugs placement in a hallway or bedside area. Its plush pile and enduring craftsmanship ensure that this Art Deco treasure remains a focal point, offering both historical depth and immediate visual appeal to any discerning collection. See less
