The chairs have been structurally revised, while the painted finish has been preserved, showcasing a naturally aged patina with characterful areas of distressing. The leather has been cleaned and polished, retaining its rich color and natural signs of age. The chairs feature rectangular upholstered backs, tapered fluted legs, and carved circular medallions at the seat corners, a decorative detail reflecting the influence of the Directoire period. Antique brass nailhead trim outlines the upholstered seats and backs, providing a tailored finish that complements the masculine character of the dark blue-black leather and contrasting ivory-painted frames. The combination of neoclassical detailing, aged painted surfaces, and dark leather lends the set a strong architectural presence, suitable for both traditional and contemporary dining interiors.
