Inspired by traditional Spanish furniture, Mogensen’s celebrated Spanish Chair design is known for its bold architectural proportions, exposed wood construction, and distinctive leather sling upholstery secured with adjustable straps and buckles.

These chairs have developed an exceptional patina over the years, with rich variations in the leather’s color, natural creasing, scuffs, scratches, and wear that only decades of use can produce. The oak frames display their own character, with surface wear, dings, and evidence of past repairs, all contributing to their authentic vintage appeal.

Both chairs are structurally sound and remarkably comfortable. Four new custom-made leather replacement straps have been fitted, preserving the original design and functionality while ensuring continued use.

The generously proportioned sling seats offer a relaxed, enveloping sitting experience, complete with that unmistakable creak of aged saddle leather that makes vintage leather furniture so appealing.

These chairs have not been overly restored or refinished. Their imperfections are part of their charm, giving them the warmth, character, and beautifully lived-in appearance that collectors of vintage Scandinavian furniture appreciate.

Condition: Good vintage condition with significant, desirable patina. Leather exhibits scratches, scuffs, creasing, discoloration, and wear consistent with age and use. One leather back has what appears to be small white paint dots. Oak frames show surface wear, dings, and evidence of previous repairs. Four newly fabricated leather replacement straps.
