The chairs feature beautifully shaped high backs with gently flared upper corners, generous curved armrests and deep, comfortable seats. Their organic lines and softly enveloping proportions are characteristic of the more luxurious side of Swedish furniture design during the 1940s.

Particularly noteworthy is the bold ton-sur-ton upholstery in warm red and orange hues. The fabric is woven in a large-scale four-leaf clover motif, executed in richly textured chenille. The combination of the raised pile and contrasting ground gives the textile an almost three-dimensional appearance and makes the chairs especially expressive from every angle.
