The chair features a beautifully shaped high back with gently flared upper corners, generous curved armrests and a deep, comfortable seat. The organic lines and softly enveloping proportions are characteristic of the more luxurious side of Swedish furniture design during the 1940s.

Particularly noteworthy is the bold ton-sur-ton upholstery in warm red and orange hues. The fabric is woven in a large-scale four-leaf clover motif, executed in richly textured chenille. The combination of the raised pile and contrasting ground gives the textile an almost three-dimensional appearance and makes the chair especially expressive from every angle.

Subtle button tufting enhances the backrest, while the rounded and fully upholstered arms emphasize the chair’s soft, sculptural character. It rests on four elegantly tapered beech legs, providing a restrained Scandinavian counterpoint to the exuberant textile.
