Exceptional pair of mid-20th-century Italian candelabras. Crafted in the opulent French Empire and Neoclassical revival styles, each piece features heavily veined, deep forest green imperial marble urn bodies resting atop stepped square marble plinths.
The heavy, cast gilt metalwork boasts exceptional depth and crisp detailing throughout. Ornate scrolled arms flow elegantly outward to support six candle sockets, each framed by striking eagle/hawk motif accents. The marble urns are flanked by beautifully cast cherub (putti) handles holding delicate leaf-and-berry floral garlands. The pieces sit securely on decorative, flared bases raised by ornate paw/claw feet.
True to their fine vintage heritage, these feature the unmistakable casting details, imperial green marble, and design hallmarks characteristic of mid-20th-century Italian Brevettato/Lancini style production. A magnificent, stately addition perfect for traditional, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic interior design spaces.
