This is an elegant pair of vintage Louis XVI–style brass wall candle sconces, each featuring a lyre-form backplate adorned with paired bird heads, leafy branches, and ribbon bows. Three curved, twisted arms support fluted drip pans and urn-shaped candle cups, creating a beautifully balanced silhouette. The candle cups have a sticky pad on the bottom for securing the candles. Candles are not included.
The bright golden finish highlights the sculptural details and openwork design. Measuring 18 inches high, these French Neoclassical–inspired sconces make a striking pair flanking a mirror, artwork, or mantel. Each weighs approximately 4 lbs, so they need to be secure in the wall.
Designed for taper candles; not electrified. Sold as a pair. Maker unidentified.

The “sticky” substance meant to hold the candle in place is untouched in the candle cups. The finish is original and has very little patina. The hook for hanging is firmly attached. The arms are a bit different in position on each. This is not damage but rather from the hand cast nature of the sconces. less
