A vintage Japanese hexagonal table lamp featuring a warm-toned wooden frame with rice paper panels and geometric latticework. Compact in scale yet architectural in form, the lamp is composed of six paneled sides framed by slender vertical supports, with horizontal wooden grids accenting the upper and lower sections.
The broad central areas are covered with translucent rice paper, allowing the interior light to diffuse softly through the panels. A stepped hexagonal wooden base and corresponding molded upper frame give the lamp a substantial, finished appearance. The removable top echoes the six-sided form and incorporates a simple cross-shaped wooden lattice.
The interior contains two light sockets, while a black electrical cord with an inline switch extends from the base. Wired for use in the United States.
With its clean geometry, warm wood tones and softly diffused light, this Japanese table lamp would make an attractive accent on a side table, console, nightstand or low cabinet.
