The substantial rectangular plank top rests on sturdy straight legs joined by traditional horizontal stretchers, reflecting the simple, functional construction of Chinese country furniture. Generations of use have softened the elm to a warm, naturally weathered finish, highlighting the grain, worn edges, old joinery, and subtle irregularities that give the piece its authentic character.

At nearly six feet long with a generous 36-inch depth, this coffee table is well suited to a large sofa, sectional, or expansive seating area. Its low profile and clean architectural form provide ample surface space for books, pottery, and collected objects while allowing the beautifully aged elm to remain the focus. It works especially well in Santa Fe, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, minimalist, or contemporary interiors.
