These 120 year old faucets were removed from a sink that is as fine in condition as they are. It was being listed as a complete unit, but it was obvious that people were interested in the faucets, but maybe not in the market for a corner sink. They are in above average condition with relatively few blemishes present. Top to bottom details: The HOT index cap is original, and the COLD one is a replacement. They are both in good shape with no cracks and vibrant lettering. The cross handles are very good on both, with none of the wear down to the brass that is often found, and the stems are fine. The bonnet nuts show the typical tool marks, and the main necks are good. The spouts have some fine scratches and slight deterioration to the undersides and at the tips. The escutcheon bells look OK, with nothing beyond light pitting. The threaded shanks are very good. There is no damage or excessive wear, and the nuts turn easily on them. The cone spacer and faucet mounting nuts are also fine. Since the sink they were removed from has not been used in decades, these faucets have not been tested with water. They were, however, tested with air. One passed the test and the other did not. The one that leaked was taken apart to show the inside, and the gasket fell out in pieces. There was an attempt at showing the other faucet, but it would not come uncrewed without some effort, and we didn't want to add any more tool marks trying harder. The handles on both turn very smoothly and stop at the full-on and full-off positions as they should. Please see the pictures for further details.
