This custom pair of bespoke, artisan, pillows from virgin fabric is crafted from a vintage mid-century textile, featuring MCM atomic geometric Barkcloth (bark cloth) with woven golden threads.
Custom-tailored over 20 years ago and gently used, they were professionally made from highly coveted authentic mid-century abstract fabric, capturing the optimism and iconic style of the 1950s Atomic Era.
The vintage fabric was personally selected by the members of Clovers Cottage and is an intricate abstract design of overlapping geometric forms, textured brushwork, and a floating wire-frame grid. The color palette blends olive green, mustard yellow, cream, soft pink, and salmon, subtly enhanced by metallic gold threads that shimmer in ambient light. Meticulously sewn piping adds elegant detail, while the backing employs a modern material for added durability and support.
