This striking piece features a brilliant, saturated yellow core overlaid with a complex, masterfully executed geometric grid pattern composed of dark espresso/black filigree canes.

Hand-blown using the intricate Reticello / Filigrana cane technique to achieve a flawless, optically mesmerizing crisscross checkerboard grid across a thick, substantial form.
• Base: Fully polished, flat ground pontil base showcasing a tight spiral vortex configuration where the glass canes converge seamlessly at the bottom.

Approximately Height 10 inches tall, Width 8.5" weighing a solid 9 8 lbs.

Excellent vintage contemporary condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor, expected shelf-wear faint scratching on the polished underside consistent with age and weight.

Unsigned, as is common for pieces originally relying on paper gallery labels. This monumental vessel is highly attributed to the esteemed Murano master glassmaker Alberto Donà, famed for his substantial, heavy-walled vessels and meticulous geometric cane work. See less
