A wonderfully expressive vintage ceramic dog figure by Freeman-McFarlin Originals, featuring oversized brown eyes, dramatic swept-back ears, a sculpted muzzle, and beautifully modeled fur detailing.
Finished in a glossy black, ivory, and warm brown glaze, this whimsical canine sculpture has tremendous personality and unmistakable mid-century California pottery charm.
An especially interesting feature is the open-back construction, which reveals a deep, glazed recessed chamber designed to accommodate a tea light. The unusual placement allows the candle to sit within the dog's body while the charming face remains the focal point.
Retains its original Freeman-McFarlin Originals Fine Arts Line label, marked El Monte, California.
A delightful collectible for lovers of vintage California pottery, figural candle holders, and playful animal-themed decor.
