A wonderfully characterful British pine washstand cabinet topped with richly colored green marble — an old utilitarian piece that feels unexpectedly perfect in a modern interior.
Originally designed as a washstand, the piece combines the warmth and relaxed character of aged pine with the cool sophistication of natural stone. That contrast is what makes it especially good: rustic without feeling country, decorative without becoming fussy.
Today, we’d use it almost anywhere. Style it as a petite bar cabinet, bathroom storage, nightstand, entry cabinet, dining-room server or simply as a small statement piece topped with a lamp and favorite objects.

DĒSSO NOTE
The green marble is the whole reason.
We love old pine, but adding that moody stone top suddenly takes this from sweet little English washstand to something we’d happily put in a very chic modern powder room.
Also excellent as a bar: bottles underneath, ridiculous lamp on top, done.
