…. A French linen tea tray cloth in a neoclassical design, found on our last trip to Paris. The center is a white linen damask woven with sprays of lilac blossom and leaves, set off by an oval of fine ladder hemstitching. Around it runs a deep, hand-crocheted filet border in a Greek key pattern, finished at the edge with a row of pointed scallops.
It measures 21" x 30", a generous size for a tea tray, a tray for breakfast in bed, or a vanity or dresser top. It also looks lovely under a lamp, a bowl of fruit, or a cake stand on a sideboard.
In superb condition. The linen is soft and bright, and the crochet is crisp and even.
Tea service shown in the photos is for styling and is not included.
Ships from Hemlock House, VT.
