This heavy, spherical vase was handcrafted by local North African blacksmiths during an era of transition, where artisans combined traditional metalworking techniques with salvaged industrial iron sheets and heavy rivets to create rugged utilitarian wares.

Built to survive daily water transport in arid desert environments, it pre-dates the mid-20th century shift to mass-produced plastics and aluminum. It features a naturally weathered, oxidized dark brown and rust patina with trace verdigris accents from decades of historical use.

With its striking sculptural silhouette and immense primitive texture, this organic piece functions beautifully as a central focal point in a minimalist room, an eye-catching statement decor piece on a pedestal, or a dramatic entryway anchor. See less
