The elongated seat is formed as a continuous sweeping volume, with softly rounded edges and an asymmetric profile that gives the piece an almost aerodynamic appearance. Its deep black finish accentuates the uninterrupted curves and creates dramatic reflections across the fiberglass surface.
Integrated sculptural supports emerge organically from the underside, preserving the bench's seamless appearance while giving the substantial form a sense of visual lightness. The design reflects the futuristic and highly experimental vocabulary associated with Marc Newson's work of the 1990s, in which traditional furniture forms were reinterpreted through smooth surfaces, molded construction, and organic geometry.
