Set of two French farmhouse benches in cherrywood.
Cherrywood is prized for its fine grain and warm, reddish-brown glow. Over the years the colour only deepens further, as seen here.
These two benches were traditionally assembled using mortise-and-tenon joints, visible on the surface. No nails or screws, just traditional craftsmanship built to last for generations.
The set carries the marks of years of use: a rich patina, small worm holes, a fine crack in one of the legs. Still sturdy enough to last for years to come, only becoming more beautiful with time.
