An elegant octagonal Murano glass vase produced by Giovanni Cenedese in the 1970s, featuring a delicate hand-painted botanical composition signed by Ceccon.

The vase is distinguished by its architectural, eight-sided form, rising from a substantial faceted base to a gently flared opening, delicately finished with a fine gold-painted rim.

The transparent glass is decorated with slender branching stems and finely detailed foliage in soft shades of pale blue and grey-blue. The botanical composition extends gracefully across the surface, creating an interplay of colour, transparency and light.

Of particular interest is the exceptional survival of its original identifying details. The vase retains the Giovanni Cenedese Murano manufacturer’s label, alongside the Cenedese signature engraved directly into the glass and the painted signature of Ceccon, the artist responsible for the botanical decoration.

An additional period retailer’s label from Molfetta, in southern Italy, remains attached to the base, offering an interesting trace of the object’s commercial history.

The combination of the manufacturer’s label, engraved signature, decorator’s signature and original retailer’s label makes this a particularly well-documented example.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with only a couple of very faint surface scratches consistent with age and careful handling. No significant damage observed.
