This pair of vintage Italian Bassanello table lamps brings mid-20th-century Italian ceramic artistry to any room. Each lamp rises from a sturdy base into a gracefully proportioned, urn-shaped body finished in a smooth, glossy white ceramic surface that reads crisp and luminous in both traditional and contemporary settings. Elegant scrolling handles add a touch of whimsy and sculptural flair, while clean, subtly patinated brass fittings provide a warm metallic contrast against the white porcelain. The seamless integration of materials and the harmonious, classical silhouette reflect the refinement associated with Bassanello craftsmanship. As a matching pair, these lamps are a natural fit flanking a sofa, framing a bed on a pair of nightstands, or anchoring a console or sideboard in an entryway or dining room. Their neutral white tone pairs easily with rich wood, lacquered casegoods, textured rugs, and bold wall color alike, making them equally at home in a Hollywood Regency living room, a coastal Palm Beach interior, or a traditional European-inspired space. Beyond their decorative value, they deliver functional ambient lighting with real presence and scale.
The lamps measure 16.25 inches wide, 10.25 inches deep, and 27.25 inches tall, a generous scale that commands attention without overwhelming a tabletop or console. The pair is in very good vintage condition. The original ceramic finish is intact with a smooth, glossy surface, and there are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor wear on the bases is consistent with age and use, and the brass fittings show a gentle, even patina. Both lamps are structurally sound and ready for display or everyday use. As with any vintage piece, please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the pair exactly as it appears today.
