A striking mid-to-late 19th-century English mahogany partners desk or library table, dating from the Victorian era. The desk features a handsome inset green tooled leather writing surface, accented by a detailed gold-embossed border and a classic central diamond medallion. Engineered with the exceptional craftsmanship of the 1800s, this functional double-sided piece offers a total of four drawers (two on each side) detailed with traditional turned wooden pulls.
The table is elevated on beautifully turned legs that terminate in their original brass cup casters. Notably, it retains its antique stamped brass patent lock mechanisms bearing a historic crown insignia. The leather top and rich mahogany timber exhibit a beautiful, authentic patina that honors its long history and storied past.
