An excellent vintage First Limited Edition art folio "Leger" created, published and printed in French, by Editions du Chêne in … Read more An excellent vintage First Limited Edition art folio "Leger" created, published and printed in French, by Editions du Chêne in Paris, France, in 1948. Edition No 266. Introduction by Frank Elgar. Complete set of 17 full-color prints (offset lithographs - colors were printed separately), including the one on the cover. The prints are hand tipped-in to the high quality heavy paper boards. Information regarding the original artworks in printed in the French underneath the pieces, and numbered on the boards: I-XVI. Signed and dated in pen on the interior side of the soft cover: "... - June 21 - 1953".

Very Good condition - some age wear, tanning and staining to the upper and lower corners of the cover, age wear to the upper and lower edges of the spine of the cover, all pages are clean, the boards have some age and edge wear, all the prints are in excellent condition.

Overall portfolio is 11.20"W x 15.25"D x 0.35"H See less
