The long altar-style top extends beyond the cabinet body, featuring gracefully everted flanges at either end, and is supported at each end by beautifully carved openwork brackets with scrolling botanical motifs. Three drawers sit above paneled cabinet doors fitted with traditional metal hardware, creating a richly architectural facade. Generations of use have developed a warm, naturally aged surface with visible grain, worn edges, subtle color variations, and an authentic patina.

Originally inspired by traditional Chinese altar furniture, this substantial cabinet combines decorative presence with generous storage. It works beautifully as a dining room buffet, living room console, entry piece, or as a dramatic foundation for artwork, pottery, and collected objects. The combination of intricate carving, aged fruitwood, and strong architectural proportions makes it especially appealing in Santa Fe, mountain modern, eclectic, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.
